Stand-Alone Ops: Overview

R365 understands that Operators and Accountants don't always agree on software. This article explains the features of the Stand-Alone Operations module and how to get the most out of it, even if your Accountant chooses to stay with their current system. 

Restaurant365 Store Operations is a complete, cloud-based system that empowers managers and leaders to boost the bottom line and guest experiences. Real-time inventory, automated purchasing, precision forecasting, profit-driving recipes, data-driven scheduling, robust communications, and efficient commissary management eliminate guesswork and help each location drive record-setting profits.

This article is an overview of Stand-Alone Ops for Instances where Smart Ops is enabled, and Accounting is not enabled. Throughout the Support center, any article that references Smart Ops should be considered applicable only to "Stand-Alone Ops.' 

For Stand-Alone Ops, the Smart Ops left navigation menu has additional options for a select number of administration and accounting pages. These pages are not normally accessible from Smart Ops. All of the pages, records, and forms accessible for Stand-Alone Ops are listed in the 'Smart Ops' and 'Classic Experience' sections below.

About Smart Ops

Smart Ops is designed with Restaurant Managers in mind. This module transforms POS data into bite-sized widgets and graphs for on-the-fly decision making and allows for transactions and records to be created easier and more efficiently than ever before through smart functionality and template use.

Further enhance this experience by adding Smart Labor to your plan. Once enabled, you can set up your organization's labor configuration through the Labor Matrix and build Hourly Forecasts to better predict daily Labor needs. Restaurant Managers will also be able to view additional Labor Metrics on both the Operations Dashboard and Labor Dashboard to make data-driven staffing decisions. These can even be made in real-time if Intraday Polling is enabled. 

The Smart Ops 'Home' page displays various parts of this experience and allows you to take a glance at valuable Sales and Labor details.

Security

Each R365 feature includes a listing of the Permissions needed to access a page and complete certain functions. Review each feature's overview article to ensure that the necessary Users have access.

Smart Ops

1. Left Pane Collapse Button - This will collapse the pane

2. Home Page - This will open the Home page

3. Dashboards - When clicked, this will display links to the following pages:

   • Operations Dashboard 

   • Labor Dashboard

4. Sales & Forecasting - When clicked, this will display links to the following pages:

   • Daily Sales

   • Forecasting

   • Classic DSS

   • Cash (Till Management)

     This will only be displayed if Till Management is enabled for your database

   • Sales Tickets 

   • Menu Items

   • Menu Item Links

   • Menu Item Categories

5. Food - When clicked, this will display links to the following pages:

   • Orders

   • Invoices

   • Inventory

   • Transfers 

   • Waste

   • Memorized Invoices and Credit Memos

   • Vendors

   • Create Prep Logs - The will open the Prep Log form in a new tab

6. Food Admin - When clicked, this will display links to the following pages:

   • Items

   • Recipes

   • Ingredients

   • Memorized Prep Logs

   • Units of Measure

   • Item Locations

   • Inventory Transactions

   • Items (classic)

     This is the classic 'Items' page. The Smart Ops 'Items' page is found in the 'Food' category (#5)

7. Labor - When clicked, this will display links to the following pages:

8. Team - When clicked, this will display links to the following pages:

     This is the classic 'Employees' page. For the Smart Ops page, use the 'Employees' option that is not appended with '(classic)'
