Intraday Polling is an add-on feature that collects current sales and labor data from compatible POS systems every 15, 30, or 60 minutes, depending on the POS system’s capabilities, allowing the Operations Dashboard and R365 Intelligence Dashboards to display real-time performance alongside forecasted values
Data imported through Intraday Polling does not produce a DSS, or update other reports that pull data from the DSS. The DSS will continue to be created as scheduled with the previous day’s complete data to populate these reports.
POS Systems and Setup
Locations must use a compatible POS system and have Smart Labor enabled to access Intraday Polling. Learn more about compatible POS Systems.
When Intraday Polling is enabled for an instance, the polling period will need to be changed to 'Current Day' from each location record. Learn more about POS Integration Settings.
'Previous Day' indicates that the location is not being polled intraday. 'Current Day (Not Available)' indicates that the selected POS System does not support Intraday Polling.

Operations Dashboard
The Labor Metrics widget and Hourly Labor Analysis graph on the Operations Dashboard display current sales and labor data at regular intervals. These insights help users optimize labor use and strengthen restaurant operations throughout the day.
