The pinned tool is the customizable slot in the bottom tab bar that provides one-tap access to a selected feature. On first use, users are prompted to choose a pinned tool, and the selection can be changed or reset at any time from the Pinned Tool option in their user profile. If the user does not select a pinned tool, the first tool in the options list is set by default.
Only tools that the user has access to will appear as options when selecting a pinned tool.
The following tools can be pinned:
AP Approvals
To pin AP approvals, permissions for Invoice approvals or Payment run approvals is required. If the user has invoice approvals permissions, Invoice approvals is opened. If the user only has payment run approvals permissions, Payment run approvals is opened.
Schedule
To pin Schedule, the Employee App Access permission or scheduling permissions are required. If the user has the Employee App Access permission, My Schedule is opened. If the user only has scheduling permissions, Restaurant schedule is opened.
Security
All users have access to pin a tool; user permissions determine which applications can be pinned.
Access to manager and back-office tools (such as My Tasks, Inventory, Daily Sales Summary, Restaurant schedule, and Logbook) are granted through the standard user permissions managed on user records. For more information, see User Setup and Security.
Self-service tools for employees (such as My schedule and My pay) are only accessible by users with the Employee App Access permission, which is managed on employee records. Learn more about managing Employee App Access.
Change the Pinned Tool
Follow these steps to change the selected pinned tool:

1) Navigate to the Profile screen.
a) Select More from the bottom tab bar.
b) Select View Profile.
2) Select Pinned tool.
3) Select the desired tool.
Only tools that the user has access to will appear as options when selecting a pinned tool.
4) Click Continue.
Reset the Pinned Tool
Follow these steps to reset the pinned tool to the system default:

1) Navigate to the Profile screen.
a) Select More from the bottom tab bar.
b) Select View Profile.
2) Select Pinned tool.
3) Select Reset to default.
