Day parts are being updated across R365 as part of the labor matrix modernization. This update introduces a unified, simplified, and more powerful way to manage day part definitions. The new experience consolidates configuration, improves consistency across scheduling and forecasting, and replaces the separate legacy tools with one centralized setup.
Day part data will migrate to the new unified format in phases through early 2026. During this transition, locations will be grouped based on their existing day part configurations. Locations that share identical setups will be combined into the same day parts group, while locations with unique configurations will each receive their own group.
The New Experience
The new day parts experience is built directly into the Location Hours page under the Day Parts tab.
Day parts are organized into day parts groups, which define the time segments (such as Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner) used throughout scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and task management. Learn more about managing day parts.
Administrators can create, edit, reorder, and delete day parts groups from one central screen.
Locations can be assigned to groups so their schedules and reports use shared, consistent time definitions.
Day parts appear in:
Schedule calendar and printed rosters
Forecasting and labor analysis
Logbook, safe counts, and deposits
This alignment ensures that all operational and reporting tools reference the same underlying day part structure.
