When a full or partial business day is configured as closed for a location, sales and labor forecasts for that location are not generated for that period. One-off and partial closed business days are created as events. Recurring weekly closed days are configured in the operating hours settings within labor hours settings.
Closed Business Days Impact on Forecasting
Forecasting Week View
In week view on the Forecasting page, when a location is closed for the full day, that day is marked as ‘Closed’, and the sales and labor forecasts are not editable.
Forecasting Day View
In day view on the Forecasting page, when a location is closed for a full or partial day, each closed time increment (hour, 30-minute, or 15-minute) is marked as ‘Closed’, and the sales and labor forecasts for those increments are not editable.
Forecasting Review Projection Dates Page
On the Review Projection Dates page, when the location is closed for the full day, ‘Projected Sales’ are displayed as ‘Closed’ in the header and and a message appears in the ‘Projection Dates’ section indicating that the location is closed.
Changes to Closed Business Days
If a location’s closed business days change after the forecast is generated, a message appears on the Forecasting page indicating that location closures have been updated for the forecasting period.
Select Recalculate to regenerate the forecast with the updated closure information.
Closed Business Days and Imported Forecasts
When a forecast is manually imported, closed business days are not applied, and the values from the import template are used.
Closed Business Days and Forecast Rules
When a closed business day conflicts with a configured forecast rule, the rule is ignored and the location is considered closed.

Events
One-off and partial closed business days are created as events. Locations are only considered closed for the event’s duration; either as full days or as a set range of hours.
Labor Hours
Recurring weekly closed days are configured in the operating hours settings within labor hours settings. When configured in labor hours, the location is considered closed on the same day each week.
