Item transfers can be created on the fly as needed from the transfers screen. Once a transfer is sent to the receiving location, the status of the transfer will be updated on the transfers screen. Learn more about transfer statuses and workflows here.
Create a Transfer
New item transfers are created from the Between store transfers screen:
Select More from the bottom tab bar.
Select Between store transfers.
Tap the Create button to open the new transfer form.

New Transfer Form
The new transfer form has three steps that must be completed to create the transfer:
Step 1: General Information
A) Select a transfer template. (Optional)
Selecting a transfer template will populate Items in Step 2. Learn more about transfer templates.

Only templates assigned to the Transfer from location (C) are available to select.
B) Set the transfer date.
The date will autofill by default to the date the new transfer form is created.

C) Set the sending location.
This required field will default to the location of the user creating the transfer.

D) Select the receiving location.

E) Tap Continue to move to step 2.

Step 2: Add Items
A) If a template was selected in step 1, the items associated with that transfer template will be pre-populated.

Tapping an item entry will open the edit item slide-out, which is identical to the add item screen.
B) Tap the Add item + button to add individual items.
Users with barcode scanning enabled will be prompted to select whether to enter the item by scanning barcodes or entering manually.

C) From the Add item screen, tap Select item and search for the item to add to the transfer.

D) Set the quantity to transfer.

E) Add any additional comments. (Optional)

F) Tap Add item to continue.

G) Repeat B - F until all items are added to the transfer.

H) Tap Edit to remove items from the transfer. (Optional)

I) Once all the necessary items are added, tap Continue to proceed to step 3.

At least one item with a non-zero quantity must be present in order to continue.
Step 3: Comments
Transfer-level comments are required in order to send the transfer to the receiving location. If comments are not added in step 3, they must be added on the comments tab of the transfer details screen before sending.
A) Tap Add comment + to add a comment.

B) Tap Finish to create the item transfer.

Finishing the new transfer form will create the transfer and set it to the ‘In Progress’ status. The created transfer can then be viewed and edited from the transfers screen. Learn more about Transfer Statuses and Workflows.
Adding Additional Items
Users can add as many items as needed to an item transfer. Tapping Add item + in step 2 when creating a new transfer or on the items tab when reviewing an existing transfer will open the add item screen.
The add item button is only available to users at the sending location while the transfer is in in progress or rejected status.
When utilizing barcode scanning to add items to a transfer, users will have the option to continue adding items by scanning. To read more about using barcode scanning for item transfers, click here.
Add Item Screen
The add item screen is where users can input all the relevant item information for the item transfer, including which item is being transferred and the number of units being transferred.

3 | Selected Item | The item being transferred. |
4 | Unit of measure | Opens the unit of measure drop-down to select from the available options.

5 | Quantity | The quantity of items to add to the transfer. |
6 | Each Amt | The current cost per unit of the item based on cost data. Users with the following Permission will be able to edit 'Each Amt' values: |
7 | Total | The total cost of the item added based on the each amt and quantity entered |
8 | Comment | Option to type a comment at the item-level.

9 | Add item | Tap to add the item to the transfer once all required fields are complete. |
Using Barcode Scanning for Item Transfers
When adding an item, users with barcode scanning enabled will be prompted to select whether to enter the item by scanning barcodes or entering manually. Learn more about using barcode scanning for transfers.
Editing Existing Item Transfers
Items that have been been added to a transfer can be edited by users at the sending location when creating a new transfer as well as when an existing transfer is in 'In Progress' or 'Rejected' status.
1) Navigate to the Items tab of the item transfer and tap the item to be edited.

2) The following fields are editable on the Edit item screen:

Field | Description | |

A | Unit of Measure | This field can only be changed to other inventory units of measure associated with the item. |
B | Quantity | Edit the quantity being transferred. |
C | Each Amount | Only users with the following permission will be able to edit this value:

D | Comments | Add item-level comments. |
3) Tap the Save button to save and return, or the Back button to close without saving.

Removing Items
Items that have been been added to a transfer can be removed by users at the sending location when creating a new transfer as well as when an existing transfer is in 'In Progress' or 'Rejected' status.
1) Tap Edit from the Items tab of an existing transfer or the Add items screen of a new transfer.

2) Select the items that should be removed.

3) Tap Remove to remove the selected items from the transfer.
Users will be prompted to confirm the removal.

4) Tap Done to exit bulk edit mode.
