Customizing projection dates refines how sales forecasts are calculated. It allows users to include or exclude specific historical dates that influence daily projections. Use this feature to remove outliers, add comparable dates, and ensure each projection reflects realistic expectations before publishing.
When a forecast is generated, the selected projection model determines which dates are used to calculate sales projections. The Review Projection Dates page shows which dates are included or excluded from the calculation.
Navigation
Navigation Menu
Select Sales & forecasting from the left navigation rail.
Select Forecasting.
Select Review Projection Dates.

Search
Navigate to pages with the R365 global search bar:
Enter all or part of the page name in the R365 global search bar.
Select the page from the results list.
Only enabled pages can be searched for. If the desired page is not enabled, contact your CSM for assistance.

These permissions can be added to custom user roles or individual users. The Permission Access report can be used to determine which user roles or users already have these permissions assigned. For more information, see User Setup and Security.
About Projection Dates
Each forecast day calculates projected sales using selected historical dates.
Adjusting projection dates helps fine-tune sales forecasts by eliminating anomalies or adding relevant historical comparisons.
Working with Included Dates
Adding Projection Dates
Each forecast day supports up to 25 projection dates total (combined between Included and Removed).
Manually added dates appear with a calendar icon.
When new dates are added, the projection model automatically changes to Custom.

1) Navigate to the desired week or day.

2) Click Review Projection Dates.

3) Select a the same-day or a future date.

4) Click Add Date.

5) Select a historical date from the date picker.
Dates already in Included or Removed cannot be selected.
Only dates from the past two years can be added.
Dates with zero-dollar sales are excluded.

6) Click OK.

7) To add more, click Add Another Date, then repeat step 5 and 6. (Optional)

8) When finished, click Apply.

9) Click Apply Changes.

Leaving the page without applying changes discards all date adjustments.
Note: Applying changes does not publish the forecast or remove manual adjustments.

Remove Included Projection Dates

1) Navigate to the desired week or day.

2) Click Review Projection Dates.

3) Scroll to the Included section.

4) Click the Minus icon next to the date to remove it.

5) Click Recalculate.
The removed date moves to the Removed section.

6) Click Apply Changes.

Leaving the page without applying changes discards all date adjustments.

Include Removed Dates

1) Navigate to the desired week or day.

2) Click Review Projection Dates.

3) Turn on the Show Removed toggle.

4) Click the Redo icon next to the date.
Dates with no sales cannot be re-included. The Redo icon is disabled for those entries.

5) Click Recalculate.

6) Click Apply Changes.

Deleting Manually Added Dates

1) Navigate to the desired week or day.

2) Click Review Projection Dates.

3) Turn on the Show Removed toggle.

4) Locate the date with the calendar icon.

5) Click the Trashcan icon to delete it permanently.

6) Click Apply Changes.

Publishing and Restrictions
Working with Past Dates
Projection dates for past days can be viewed but not edited.
If a forecast was never generated for a past day, a message appears:
“The forecast for this date was never generated for this location.”
Adjusting Published Forecasts
If unpublished projection date changes exist in a published forecast, a warning appears on the Weekly Forecasting page.
To remove changes:
