Users with managerial access can create and enter inventory counts via the R365 App. While entering in item quantities, all progress is saved and displayed visually for both individual storage locations and the entire count. Any discrepancies that exist between the previous count and the current count will display an alert flag that can then be examined and corrected, if necessary, before marking the count as ready for approval.
After a count is marked as 'Completed', users with approval access will need to review and approve the count from a web browser.

Create and Enter an Inventory Count
To create and enter an inventory count, follow these steps:

1) Tap the New Inventory Count button at the bottom of the Inventory Counts screen.
A new count will open on the screen.
2) Select a location for the count. This will determine the templates available for selection.
3) Select the necessary inventory count template.
4) Select a date for the count. This defaults to today.
5) Tap the Start New Count button to begin the count.
6) Tap to open a storage location to begin counting items.
7) Tap to open an item to count.
8) Enter the count for the item for each available unit of measure.
Tap Enter to move to the next item. Users can also navigate to the next item by clicking the forward arrow. Users can easily swipe left or right to move forward or backward, respectively, between items, but doing so will not save the amount entered.
Only organizations with Barcode Scanning enabled will be able to see the Scanner buttons on the Inventory Count list and the Item Count screen.
9) Move to the next item and continue entering inventory until all storage locations are 100% counted.
Once all items have been counted, the count variances can be reviewed and the count can be completed.
Adding Recently Added Items to Count Locations
When a new purchased item has been added to the template since the count template was last used, a Recently Added notification will appear upon starting a new inventory count. This notice indicates new item(s) have been added. The item must be added to a storage location before proceeding with the count.
To add the Item(s) to a Storage Location:
Tap the Add to Locations
button. This will open the Recently Added list.
Tap an item. This will open the Add to Location screen will appear with the list of storage locations.
Tap the appropriate storage location(s).
Tap Add Item to add the item to the selected storage location.
Users will be notified that the item has been added to the count template and can begin the inventory count.
Edit Storage Location Items
To add, remove, or rearrange items from an inventory count, tap Edit in the top right corner of the storage location screen.
Add Items
To add an item:
Tap Add Item.
Select an item from the item selector.
Tap Add Item.
Users will be prompted to add the item to the count or to the count and template. Select an option.
The item will be added.
Remove Items
To remove items:
Select the item(s) that need to be removed.
Tap Remove.
Rearrange Items
Tap and hold the rearrange icon to move items around on the list. Drag and drop the items into place.
