Navigation & Security

Navigation

First, navigate to Smart Ops

In the left navigation menu, click 'Admin' under 'Labor' to open the Labor Admin Page.

On the Labor Admin page, click 'Accrual Rules' to open the Accrual Rules tab.

Security

Users with the following permissions will be able to access the Accrual Rules tab:

  • Labor Rules

    • Accrual Rules

      • View Accrual Rules

      • Edit Accrual Rules

Field

Description

Search

Search the following columns for the entered text:

  • Accrual Balance Name

  • Earning Type

  • Policy Type

Table Views, Filter, Export, Refresh

Table Views - Save/edit table views
Filter - Filter column information
Columns - Rearrange columns
Export- Export the table to a .csv file
Refresh - Refresh

Accrual Balance Name

Name of the accrual rule that governs the accrual balance.

Earning Type

Earning type applied when accrued hours are used and earnings are added to the DSS.

Policy Type

Accrual policy type:

  • Unlimited - Accrued hours are unlimited

  • Fixed Date - Hours accrue on a fixed date each year

  • Accrued - Hours accrue based on the worked hours of the employee

Applied To

Number of employees the accrual rule has been applied to.

Learn more about applying accrual rules to employees here.

Effective Start Date

Date current version of the policy will be effective. Employees will start accruing hours associated with the accrual rule on this date. 

Effective End Date

Date current version of the policy will be deactivated.

If the effective end date is today or in the future, the rule may have a future version configured. When a new version is created, the effective end date for the current version is automatically set to the effective start date of the new version. Accrual Rule

Click to open the Accrual Rule sidesheet for the accrual rule, where details can be viewed and new versions can be created.
