Re-authenticate a Bank Connection

Direct bank connections can be re-authenticated from the Bank Activity page or the Bank Account record. Reauthentication requires entering financial institution credentials to restore the connection to R365.


Security

The following permission is required to re-authenticate a bank connection:

  • Banking → Bank Activity → Manage Bank Connections

These permissions can be added to custom user roles or individual users. The Permission Access report can be used to determine which user roles or users already have these permissions assigned. For more information, see User Setup and Security.


Re-authenticate a Bank Connection from Bank Activity

To re-authenticate a bank account, follow these steps:

Click steps to expand for additional information and images.

1) Navigate to the Bank Activity page.

A) Open the Accounting application.
B) Expand the Banking category.
C) Click Bank Activity.

2) Click the arrow next to Retrieve to open the menu, then select Manage bank connections.

3) If the connection has lapsed, an alert shows which accounts require reconnection.

4) Select Reconnect under the required bank account.

R365 Tip

Use Check connection status to view all bank account statuses. This option applies only to Finicity connections

5) Enter financial institution credentials on the login screen.

Login screens may differ depending on the bank connection used and the financial institution being connected.

The first retrieval after reconnection may take longer than usual while the connection reestablishes.
