The Bank Activity experience has been updated with a layout and workflow designed to simplify transaction matching, creation and reconciliation preparation. During the transition period, both the new and legacy layouts remain available.

The new layout offers a clean design, improved visibility into matching and rule application, and a streamlined experience for creating transactions and preparing for reconciliation.


New Experience Settings

Enable New Bank Activity Experience

The new experience is available for all instances and can be managed on the Miscellaneous tab of System Preferences.

When the New Bank Activity Experience is enabled, the Rule Vault checkbox is automatically checked and cannot be disabled.  To disable the Rule Vault, users must revert to the legacy bank activity experience.

Reapply Bank Rules on Account Selection

An option to automatically reapply bank rules when an account is selected or switched has been added to the Miscellaneous tab of System Preferences and is enabled by default when the New Bank Activity Experience is enabled.


Bank Activity Updates

Table Views

Tabs on the Bank Activity page have been replaced by preset table views. Table views allow for flexibility on column displays and filtering or use of default views. Learn more about table views.

The Pending Creation view replaces the Rule applied tab. It shows bank activity transactions that have a rule applied and require review.

Bank Activity Buttons

Quick access buttons for key actions with additional options available in the Retrieve Activity dropdown.

Bank Connection Status

The status indicator shows whether the bank connection is active.

  • Green: The connection is active.

  • Orange:  The connection is not active.

Matching Panel

The matching panel displays displays possible matches for the selected bank activity. Users can review and select the correct match from this panel.

Scroll through the bank activity transaction details without losing quick access to the actions.

Customize with Table Options

The following options have been added to the Bank Activity table, giving users more flexibility and customization options for how transactions are displayed:

  • Filter - Opens the Filter menu, where filters based on column values can be applied. When filters are applied, the number of conditions is displayed next to the button. 

  • Columns - Opens the Columns menu, where table columns can be hidden, shown, and rearranged. The number of hidden columns is displayed next to the button.

  • Refresh Data - Refreshes the table without changing the view.

  • Striped Rows - Enables or disables alternating row colors. Changes made to the table using this toggle apply only while the page is open. To make this setting permanent across all tables, update it in User Preferences.

  • Column Filtering - Turns column filtering on or off. When enabled, filters can be applied directly in the column headers. Changes made to the table using this toggle apply only while the page is open. To make this setting permanent across all tables, update it in User Preferences.

Unmatch in Bulk

The option to unmatch multiple transactions has been added to the Manage menu allowing users to make adjustments more efficiently.


Bank Activity Imports

The bank activity import screens are updated to match the new design but retain full functionality.
