Prep in R365 guides restaurants through all parts of the food preparation process, from setup to daily execution. It combines administrative setup tools with restaurant-level prep tracking to support consistent preparation, accurate quantities, and reduced waste across locations.
Prep links two workflows:
Prep for Food Administration: where prep recipes, prep templates, and prep settings are created and configured.
Prep for Restaurant Management: where store managers use prep sheets and prep recipes to plan and complete daily food prep.
On the administrative side, prep administrators create and organize the data that drives prep sheets:
Prep Settings define how prep sheets calculate quantities and how prep recipes are organized. These settings apply to locations through assigned configurations.
Prep Recipes are created from existing recipes, then categorized by prep station and prep category.
Prep Templates group prep recipes and assign the groups to specific stores. Locations linked to a prep template can access those prep recipes, based on their item access.
On the restaurant management side, store users see the results of that setup:
Locations see the prep templates assigned to them.
The available prep templates are used to generate Prep Sheets, which calculate suggested quantities of prep recipes based on estimated usage and current on-hand amounts.
Once reviewed, prep sheets can be printed so the suggested prep quantity can be used to guide daily prep in the restaurant.
Together, these form the complete prep workflow—from defining what can be prepped to producing printed prep sheets that guide store-level food prep.
