Your R365 instance is your organization's unique URL used to access Restaurant365. This article explains what an R365 instance is, how to identify yours, and what to do if you don't know it.
What is an R365 Instance?
Each organization using Restaurant365 has a unique instance, which is a dedicated environment for that organization's data. Your instance is identified by a unique subdomain in the format:
https://your_instance_name.restaurant365.com
For example, if your organization's domain name is steakshack, your R365 instance URL would be https://steakshack.restaurant365.com.
Security
Any R365 User with valid login credentials can view their instance URL. No additional security permissions are required.
Find Your Instance URL
From Your Browser Address Bar
- Log in to R365
- Look at the address bar at the top of your browser. Your instance URL is the portion of the URL before the first

- The domain name (e.g., thedean) is the unique value that appears before
.restaurant365.com

From the Desktop Login Page
- Navigate to your R365 login page
- The domain name is displayed above the login fields on your instance login page

If You Don't Know Your Instance URL
If you do not know your R365 instance URL, you can:
- Ask a team member or direct manager — They can provide the correct domain name for your organization
- Contact R365 Support — Reach out to the R365 Support team for assistance
Bookmark Your Instance URL
Once you have identified the correct R365 instance URL, save it as a bookmark on your computer, phone, or tablet. R365 recommends saving only the base of the URL (only the parts before the first /).
Example:
- Correct:
https://steakshack.restaurant365.com - Incorrect:
https://steakshack.restaurant365.com/dashboard/home
This ensures you always navigate to the correct version of the software.
