The Profitability Overview widget, on the Home page, shows a location's profitability health score, period totals, and the metrics driving that score for a selected date range.
From this widget:
Review the profitability health score and tier. See Review a Recommendation for related next steps.
Open the Profitability Score Details.
Change the comparison period used across the widget.
Security
The profitability widget is available to users with the following permission:
Administration → Dashboards → Home Dashboard → View Home Dashboard
Navigation
Navigation Steps
Open the Home app.
Select Home from the left navigation rail or the dashboard selector.

Search
Navigate to pages with the R365 global search bar:
Enter all or part of the page name in the R365 global search bar.
Select the page from the results list.
Only enabled pages can be searched for. If the desired page is not enabled, contact your CSM for assistance.

Profitability Overview

Button/Field | Description | |

1 | Comparison Period Selector | Sets the date range and prior-period comparison used across the Profitability Overview widget, for example, Last month. |
2 | Profitability Health Score | A 1 to 5 score reflecting the location's financial health for the selected period. It's a weighted combination of Food Cost % (30%), Labor Cost % (30%), Net Margin % (25%), and Sales Growth % (15%), each scored against thresholds set for the location's Restaurant Type. A tier label, such as Good, and a description of the tier accompany the score. See Profitability Score Details for the full threshold breakdown. |
3 | How it's calcuclated | Opens the Profitability Score Details drawer with the full metric and domain breakdown behind the profitability health score. |
4 | Net Sales | Total net sales for the selected period, with the percent change against the prior period. |
5 | Prime Cost | Combined food and labor cost as a percentage of net sales for the selected period, with the prior period percentage for comparison. Shown for reference and not included in the profitability health score. Click the link to open the Sales and Prime Cost summary report. |
6 | Food Cost % | Food cost as a percentage of net sales for the selected period, with the percent change against the prior period and the underlying cost of goods dollar amount. |
7 | Labor Cost % | Labor cost as a percentage of net sales for the selected period, with the percent change against the prior period and the underlying labor cost dollar amount. |
8 | Net Margin % | Net profit as a percentage of net sales for the selected period, with the percent change against the prior period and the underlying net profit dollar amount. |
9 | Sales Growth % | Percent change in net sales for the selected period against the prior period, with the underlying net sales dollar amount. |
FAQ
Why did my profitability health score change?
The score reflects food cost, labor cost, net margin, and sales growth for the selected period compared to the prior period. A change in any of these metrics can change the score. See Profitability Score Details to review the driving factors.
What does Prime Cost mean on this widget?
Prime Cost is the combined cost of food and labor as a percentage of net sales. It is shown for reference and is not part of the profitability health score. Clicking the link will open the Sales and Prime Cost summary report.
Can I change the comparison period?
Yes. Select the comparison period control, for example, Last month, to change the date range and prior-period comparison used across the widget.
