How to log in to Restaurant365 via web browser - video

Video summary

This video shows how to log in to Restaurant365 on a desktop web browser. It covers finding your company's unique R365 URL, entering it directly in the browser (without "www"), and signing in on the resulting login page with your username and password. Both fields are case-sensitive. It also points out the password visibility icon and the optional "Remember me" checkbox before you select Login.

Log in to R365 via web browser

To log in to the desktop version of R365, follow these steps:

Click steps to expand for additional information and images.

1) Open the web browser.

R365 works best in Google Chrome.

2) Enter your organization's Restaurant365 URL.

System URLs look like the following: https://your_instance_name.restaurant365.com

If you do not know your URL, ask a team member or manager. Your organization's domain name appears above the login fields.

This takes users to their instance login page. The domain name appears above the login fields.

3) Enter the correct username and password.

- A manager or the person who created your user record assigns your username. It is often an email address.

- Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

- Forgot your password? Click Forgot Password? on the login page.

- A new tab opens. Enter your R365 username and click Send Password Link. R365 emails you a reset link valid for 10 minutes.

- If your organization uses SSO, use the SSO sign-in option shown on the login page instead of entering your credentials manually.

- If your credentials do not work, confirm with your manager that your user record has been created in R365.

Organizations with established Single Sign-on connections log in with SSO.

4) Click Login.

5) The Home app loads.

The Home app opens to the user's default dashboard.

Log out of R365

When you are done working in R365, click your user avatar in the top-right corner of the system header. From the dropdown menu, select Logout. You return to the login screen.

Trouble logging in

If you are having trouble logging in, see Troubleshoot User Login Issues. Common causes include an incorrect URL, mistyped credentials, or an account that has not been set up in R365 yet.

FAQ

I do not know my organization's R365 URL. How do I find it?

Your organization's R365 URL follows the format `https://your_instance_name.restaurant365.com`. If you have logged in before, it appears in your browser's address bar. If this is your first login, ask a team member or your direct manager for the correct URL. See Find Your R365 Instance for more ways to identify it.

I entered my username and password but I cannot log in. What should I do?

The most common causes are an incorrect username or password (both are case-sensitive), a wrong instance URL, or a missing user role assignment.

Review the full list of login error reasons and solutions in Troubleshoot User Login Issues.

How do I reset a forgotten password?

From the R365 login screen, click Forgot Password? and enter your username.

R365 sends a password reset link to the email address on your account. The link is valid for 10 minutes. For full instructions, see Reset and Update Passwords.

How do I know if my organization uses Single Sign-on (SSO)?

If SSO is enabled, the R365 login screen displays an SSO option alongside the standard username and password fields.

Contact your R365 administrator to confirm whether SSO is set up for your organization. Learn more about single sign-on.

Can I log in to R365 on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The R365 mobile app is available for iOS and Android. It uses the same username and password as the desktop version.

See Log In and Out of the R365 Mobile App for step-by-step instructions.
