The  transfer form must be completed to send an item to another location. Learn how to create an item transfer.

Description

Template Selector

The option to use a Transfer Template created for the sending location. Selecting a template auto-fills the form with the details entered on that template.

A Transfer From location is required before a template can be selected.

Number

The number associated with the item transfer.

Date

The date that the transfer was created.

Status

The status of the transfer, which defaults to In Progress. This status remains until the item transfer is sent to the receiving location. Learn more about Transfer Status and Workflow.

Transfer From

The location sending the transfer. The user can select only from locations they have access to.

This field is required to select a template.

Transfer To

The location receiving the transfer.

When a template is used, this field may be auto-filled.

Search Bar

Allows the listing to be searched for the term entered in this field.

Bulk Add

Opens a box where items can be added by item category. This is explained in more detail below.

When adding an item, ensure the correct inventory UofM is selected for the Unit of Measure field.

Add Item

Adds items to the Items grid. Learn more about adding items to a transfer.

When a template is used, items may be added to the list from the template.

Comments

Records all notes sent between the sending and receiving locations. When a form is sent, rejected, or canceled, a comment is required explaining the reason for the action. Learn more about rejected or canceled transfers.

Attachments

Lists all files attached to the transfer.

Total

The total amount of the items being transferred.

Save

Saves the entries made to the form. The Save button dropdown also includes the Save & Create Another option. When selected, the transfer is saved and a new transfer form opens for more efficient entry.

Send

Sends the item transfer to the receiving location, locks the form from editing, and updates the status to Pending. A comment must be submitted through the Comment modal for the receiving store to review. Learn more about Transfer Statuses.

Help Menu

Opens the Help Menu, which lists multiple resources that assist in creating an item transfer.

Full Screen

Expands the modal to full screen. It can return to the original size by clicking the minimize icon.

Close

Closes the modal without saving.
