Include Recipes on Inventory Counts

If a restaurant prepares batch recipes with multiday shelf lives, including those recipes in inventory counts gives a more accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) because the ingredients remain in inventory until sold.

To ensure that a recipe is available for inventory, complete the following steps:

1) Create a recipe in R365.

  1. Open the Inventory application.

  2. Expand Recipes.

  3. Select Recipes

  4. Click Create.

2) Ensure that on the General tab, the recipe is marked as Available in Inventory.

3) Save the recipe.

4)  Add the Recipe as an Item on an inventory count or inventory template for recurring use.
