When a Measure Type is set and saved on a record, it cannot be changed on the original record. Instead, the Measure Type on a recipe form, or any item record, can be updated by:
Creating a new record by copying the original record.
Setting the Measure Type and Unit of Measure.
Saving the copied record. If the old record will no longer be used, it can be deleted or deactivated.
At this time, recipes can only be copied from the classic recipe record.
Changing the Measure Type
To change the measure type, open a classic recipe record. Then:
Click steps to expand for additional information and images.
1) Hover over the Save menu.

2) From the dropdown, click Copy.
This will create a duplicate recipe record.

3) The new recipe form will be created with the name Recipe Item - [COPY] Recipe Name.

4) Update the fields as needed.
On this form, the following will need to be updated:
The Measure Type field will be editable until the record is saved. Update the Measure Type to the correct option.
The following fields should reflect the new Measure Type selection:
Yield Qty
Yield U of M
Reporting UofM
Portion Size (only on the classic recipe record)
Portion U of M (only on the classic recipe record)

5) Once these changes are made, Save the record.

Delete the Duplicate Recipe
After copying a recipe and updating its measure type, the original recipe form should be deleted. Before deleting, ensure that any recipes using the original recipe as an ingredient are remapped to the new (copied) recipe.
On the classic recipe record:
Navigate to the Recipes On tab.
Double click a recipe entry to open the recipe record.
Navigate to the Ingredients tab.
Enter the details for the recipe that should be kept. This should be the name of the copied recipe, the quantity, and unit of measure.
Click Add.
Click the trashcan to delete the ingredient that is no longer needed.
Save the record.
Repeat until the Recipes On table is clear.

On the new recipe record:
Navigate to the Recipes table of the Linked Records section.
Click the first recipe to open the recipe record.
Navigate to the Ingredients and Steps section.
Locate the orginal recipe on the Ingredient list, and open the ingredient menu.
From the dropdown, click Edit.
Replace the recipe with the new copied recipe to remap the ingredient to the recipe that will be kept.
Save the record.
Repeat these steps until all the recipes have been remapped.

Once all recipes are updated, navigate back to the original recipe record, delete the recipe. This will remove the Recipe record from R365. If issues arise during deletion, troubleshoot why the record was not deleted.
Once the duplicate is deleted, the copied Recipe record can then have the [COPY] description removed from its name and saved.
