Troubleshoot the Indeed Integration (R365 Hire)

Prev Next

R365 Hire (powered by CareerPlug) posts job postings to Indeed automatically. This article covers the two most common issues you might run into with that integration.

Job location is wrong on Indeed

CareerPlug doesn't send a full street address to Indeed. It sends the business name and ZIP code, and Indeed uses Google Maps to determine the posted address from that ZIP code. If the ZIP code on file is wrong, the job location on Indeed will be wrong too.

Fix: Confirm the location's ZIP code is correct in R365 Hire, then update it if needed. The corrected location applies to new job postings; existing job postings may need to be refreshed.

Job flagged as duplicate content

If you already have a job posting directly on Indeed and R365 Hire also posts that same job posting through the integration, Indeed flags it as duplicate content.

Fix: Before turning on the CareerPlug-to-Indeed integration for a job posting, deactivate any matching job posting you posted directly on Indeed.

If a job posting is already flagged, deactivating your conflicting direct post may not clear the flag automatically. If the flag doesn't clear after deactivating your direct post, submit a ticket to Indeed as described below.

Reporting an issue to Indeed

If a location or duplicate-flag issue doesn't resolve with the fixes above, submit a ticket to Indeed directly. You'll need to do this yourself — R365 Support can't submit it on your behalf or override Indeed's decision.

  1. Go to the Indeed Employer Help Center.

  2. Fill in your contact information (name, email, company).

  3. For Website, enter your R365 Hire career page URL.

  4. For Description, describe the specific issue (for example, wrong location or duplicate posting flag) in detail.

FAQ

Why does Indeed show the wrong city or neighborhood for a job posting?

This usually traces back to the ZIP code on file for that location, since Indeed figures out the display address from the ZIP code rather than a full street address.

Can R365 Support fix a duplicate-flag issue directly?

No — R365 Support can't remove or override the flag directly, since Indeed applies it based on its own policy. You'll need to either deactivate the conflicting direct post on Indeed or submit a ticket through the Indeed Employer Help Center yourself.
