Time Clock Configuration Details Screen

Time clock configurations define how employees clock in and out. Administrators can set a name, location, and display options, including job selection, schedule enforcement (with Scheduler), break controls, and shift activity.

From this page, users can:

  • Add a new configuration group

  • Edit an existing configuration group

  • Review existing configurations


Security

Users must have the following permission(s) to access Time Clock Settings:

  • Labor

    • Time Clock

      • Devices Management

        • View Timeclock Devices

        • Edit Timeclock Devices

        • Add Timeclock Devices

        • Delete Timeclock Devices

These permissions can be added to custom user roles or individual users. The Permission Access report can be used to determine which user roles or users already have these permissions assigned. For more information, see User Setup and Security.


Navigation

Navigation Menu

  1. Select Workforce from the left navigation rail.

  2. Select Timeclock Management from the Time & Attendance section.

  3. Select the Gear button.

  4. Select Add Group or click into an existing group.

Search

Navigate to pages with the R365 global search bar:

  1. Enter all or part of the page name in the R365 global search bar.

  2. Select the page from the results list.

Only enabled pages can be searched for. If the desired page is not enabled, contact your CSM for assistance.

Add or Edit Time Clock Configuration

Description

Quick Action Buttons

Save

Saves the changes made.

Expand/Collapse

Expands the view to full screen, or collapses it if already expanded.

Close

Closes without saving.

Section Menu

Displays the sections in settings: Name & Locations, Job Selection, Scheduling Enforcement, Break Controls, and Shift Activity. Use the side panel to switch between sections.

Back to all Configuration Groups

Navigates to Time Clock Configurations. Unsaved changes will be lost.

Name

Name entered for the configuration group.

Set as Default Checkbox

Sets this group as the default. New locations are automatically assigned to the default group.

Locations

Assigned location for the settings group. Multiple locations can be selected.

Job Selection Checkbox

When checked, it prompts employees to select a job when they clock in.

Link Employee Punches

Associates employee punches with the scheduled job. When selected, additional fields appear to enter minutes before and after the scheduled job.

Unscheduled Shifts

Blocks employees from punching in on unscheduled days. When selected, an additional checkbox appears to allow manager override for unscheduled shifts

Early Arrivals

Blocks employees from punching in too early for scheduled shifts. Enter the number of minutes allowed. When selected, an additional checkbox appears to allow manager override for early arrivals.

Late Arrivals

Blocks employees from punching in late for scheduled shifts. Enter the number of minutes allowed. When selected, an

additional checkbox appears to allow manager override for late arrivals.

Meal Break Controls

Adds a meal break button in employee punch options. When selected, an additional checkbox appears to block employees from returning from meal breaks until the set number of minutes has passed.

Rest Break Controls

Displays a rest break button in employee punch options. When selected, an additional checkbox appears to block employees from returning from rest breaks until the set number of minutes has passed.

Shift Activity Checkbox

Displays active and inactive employees on the log-in screen.
