Administrators use Send Newsfeed Post to recognize badge-holding employees by delivering a targeted newsfeed post to all active badge holders at a location — directly from the badge's detail page.
Prerequisites
Both permissions are required to use this feature:
View permission — grants access to location badges and reports
Post permission — enables the ability to create and send newsfeed posts
How to Send a Newsfeed Post to Badge Recipients
1) Navigate to the badge's detail page.
From the left navigation, go to Locations > Badges > View All, then select the specific badge for which a post should be sent. Posts are scoped to badge holders at the selected location — employees who hold the same badge at other locations are not included.
The badge detail page lists all employees who have currently earned the badge at that location.
2) Select Send Newsfeed Post.
The Send Newsfeed Post button appears at the top of the badge detail page. If no active employees currently hold the badge, the button is disabled and the post cannot be sent.
3) Compose and select Post.
The compose dialog displays the placeholder text "send message to your team" and shows the audience who will receive the post. Enter a message and select Post. A message is required — the Post button remains inactive until content is entered.
After selecting Post, the post publishes immediately and appears in the Newsfeed of all active badge holders at the selected location. The post record — including who sent it and when — is visible in the Newsfeed.
Important Behaviors
Recipients Are Determined at Send Time
The post is sent to employees who hold the badge at the moment the Send Newsfeed Post button is selected — the recipient list is determined automatically and cannot be modified. Employees who earn the badge after the post is sent are not included and do not receive the notification retroactively.
Managing a Sent Post
After a post is sent, the following options are available from the post in the Newsfeed: Edit Post, Delete Post, Remove Post From Feeds, and Pin Post.
