Cross-Training Dashboard

The Cross-Training Dashboard displays employee qualification data for the selected location(s). It includes a role-based view in the Qualification Summary and an employee-based view in the Qualification Matrix.

The Cross-Training Dashboard is only available when Staffing is enabled.


Security

  • Users must have Location View Permission in their role to access the Cross-Training Dashboard.

Navigation

Navigation Menu

  1. Select Location from the left navigation menu.

  2. Select Overview.

  3. Select Cross-Trained Employees.


Cross-Training Dashboard Buttons and Fields

Description

Location

Displays the location or location group represented in the Qualification Summary and Qualification Matrix tables.

Search

When the Qualification Summary table is displayed, filters for roles with the entered text.

When the Qualification Matrix table is displayed, filters for employees with the entered text.

Role Filter

Filters the Qualification Matrix for all roles or a specified role.

This filter is only displayed when the Qualification Matrix (#5) is selected.

Qualification Summary

Opens the Qualification Summary view, showing progress of employee role qualifications and staffing targets.

Qualification Matrix

Opens the Qualification Matrix view, which displays an employee summary for role certifications.

Qualification Summary Columns

Column

Description

Role

The name of the role. Only roles with role certifications are included.

Fully Qualified

The number of employees who are fully qualified for the role, based on completion of the role certification requirements.

In Training

The number of employees who are currently training towards the role.

Staffing Target

The staffing target number for the role.

Staffing targets are set per role on the Staff Needed page.

Coverage

The percentage of the staffing target covered by fully qualified employees. Calculated as (Fully Qualified ÷ Staffing Target) × 100.

Gap Analysis

The status of staffing coverage for each role, based on the percentage of required employees who are fully qualified:

  • Well Covered – Qualified employees are at least 80% of the staffing target.

  • Potential Risk – Qualified employees are between 20% and 80% of the staffing target.

  • Critical Shortage – Qualified employees are 20% or less of the staffing target.

Qualification Matrix Columns

Column

Description

Employee

Name of the employee.

Current Role

The employee’s current role that has a certification associated with it. If the employee has multiple certification-linked roles, the number of roles is displayed. Hover over to view the full role list.

Location

The location the employee is associated with. If the employee is associated with multiple locations, the number of locations is displayed. Hover over to view the full location list.

Role Certification Progress

Displays the employee’s progress percentage toward certification for each role. Each role appears in a separate column.
If the role is not directly assigned and is part of career path progress, percentage is represented as '-'.
