This article covers the differences between the Legacy and Classic R365 navigation and the new R365 navigation experience. The new R365 navigation experience will be enabled for all customers throughout 2025. Contact your CSM to learn more.
When the new navigation is enabled, the New Nav Experience toggle allows users to switch between the new navigation and legacy/classic navigation. This flexibility helps users adapt to the updated experience before it becomes permanent. Although the toggle will eventually be removed, no timeline has been set for its removal.
New Features Added to the New Navigation Experience
Streamlined Look for Headers and Menus
R365 is moving to a standard color palette, and support for custom theme colors is being phased out. This change improves consistency across the product and enhances accessibility. Branding can still be reflected by uploading a logo, which will display throughout R365.
Left Rail App Switcher
In the new experience, a new left rail application switcher has been added to the left side of the page that allows users to switch between R365 applications and modules. The left rail lists all R365 applications that the user has access to.
Hovering over the left rail opens the navigation menu for that application. The menu automatically closes when the mouse moves away. The navigation menu can also be pinned open.
App Switcher
In the new experience, an application switcher has been added to the main R365 header which allows users to switch between R365 applications. When clicked, there will be a dropdown menu of R365 applications. The applications are sorted into those that the organization has enabled and additional apps available for purchase.
R365 Search
A search bar for searching within R365 has been added to the main R365 header.
Create Menu
A new menu that contains quick links to creating new records associated with the accounting app has been added.
Application and Page Reorganization
To improve navigation and group related pages, legacy applications have been reorganized.
Best Practice
The search bar in the R365 header can be used to navigate to any page.
