Bank Account Record Setup
When using the 'Canada' Check format, specific notation must be used for the MICR Dash value that often appears in Canadian Transit Numbers and Account Numbers.
To update the bank account record to include Canadian Transit numbers, follow these steps:

1) Open the desired bank account record.
2) Enter the account number of the bank account.
For Account Numbers with a MICR Dash (
) present, in the Account Number field, enter a capital 'D' in place of the MICR Dash.

For Transit Numbers with a MICR Dash () present, in the Routing Number field, enter a capital 'D' in place of the MICR Dash

Clients using Canadian check format who also import BAI bank files can enter a separate BAI Account Number on the bank account record. When populated, BAI file import matching uses this value instead of Account Number, avoiding a conflict between the Canadian transit number format used for check printing and the identifier format expected by BAI file matching.
