FAQ

How do I claim an open shift?

When you're not scheduled on a day and an open shift matches one of your assigned jobs, the date shows an Open shift notice in your shift list. Tap the date, then tap the open shift and select Submit claim. The shift appears on your schedule only after a manager approves the claim. See Offer and claim shifts.

Do shift trades and offers need manager approval?

Yes. For a trade, the employee you're trading with must approve first, and then a manager approves. For an offer, another employee claims your shift and a manager approves the claim. You stay responsible for an offered shift until it's claimed and approved. Track each request on the Outgoing tab of the My requests screen. See Trade shifts and Offer and claim shifts.

How do I see other employees' shifts?

On the schedule screen, tap Restaurant schedule to see all published shifts for the restaurant each day. Tap a date to open the detailed list, where you can select open shifts to claim or other employees' shifts to trade. See Trade shifts.

What do Hours worked and Hours remaining on the schedule widget mean?

Hours worked is the number of hours you've worked in the current schedule as of today. Hours remaining is the number of scheduled hours you still need to work.

Where do I request time off or update my availability?

On the schedule screen, tap Create to start a time off request or an availability request. You can also connect a personal calendar from the same menu. See Request time off, Update weekly availability, and Connect a personal calendar.

Why don't I see scheduled breaks on my shifts?

Scheduled breaks are in beta for select customers. When the feature is on, only users with the Labor → Schedule → Add/Edit/Delete Shifts permission see break times, marked with a coffee mug icon. Contact your CSM to learn more.
