A prep template is a named grouping of prep recipes assigned to one or more locations. Templates determine which recipes a location can prep. Multiple templates can be selected when a prep sheet is created, to cover a broader set of recipes.
The prep template wizard walks through three steps to configure and save a new template. The steps include the following:

Prep templates are managed from the Prep Settings screen.
Navigation Steps
Open the Inventory application.
Expand Prep.
Select Prep Sheets.
Click the gear button.
Navigate to the Prep Templates tab.
General Info
The General Info step defines the template name, location access, and an optional description. The locations selected on this step filter the recipes available in the next step.

2 | Location(s) | The location(s) associated with the prep template. Locations selected here filter the recipes available to add to the template based on recipe-level location access. This field is required.

4 | Continue | Advances the wizard to the Add Recipes step. All required fields must be completed for the Continue button to be available. |
Add Recipes
The Add Recipes step is where recipes are selected and added to the prep template. Recipes are filtered based on the locations selected in the General Info step. Adding a recipe requires completing the necessary prep fields before saving, which creates a new prep recipe.

3 | Recipe list | Displays recipes that have been added to the prep template. Each row shows the recipe name, prep station, prep category, and unit of measure information. |
4 | Continue | Advances the wizard to the Review Template step. Enabled after at least one recipe is added. |
5 | Selection Checkbox | Selects the recipe to add to the prep template. |
6 | Add [#] Recipes | Adds the selected recipes to the prep template and closes the panel. The button label updates to reflect the number of recipes currently selected. |
Review Template
The Review Template step displays a summary of the prep template before it is saved. The selected prep recipes and their details are listed in the table, and the Template Overview panel on the right summarizes the general info and recipe count. Edit icons next to each section allow navigation back to a previous step to make changes.

4 | Visible to stores | A toggle that controls whether the prep template is visible to store-level users. When enabled, the template is accessible to the locations assigned to it.
