The Onboarding Dashboard brings required setup steps into a single guided experience, helping organizations complete foundational configuration in the correct order. It tracks progress, highlights what is incomplete, and provides direct access to each setup area, including POS and Vendor Integration steps that collect information needed to begin integration work with R365 Support and external vendors.


Security

Users must have the following permission to access the Onboarding Dashboard.

  • Administration → Dashboards → View Onboarding Dashboard

This permission provides view-only access. Additional permissions are required to complete setup steps.


Navigation

Navigation Steps

  1. Open the Home application.

  2. Select Onboarding dashboard.

Search

Navigate to pages with the R365 global search bar:

  1. Enter all or part of the page name in the R365 global search bar.

  2. Select the page from the results list.

Only enabled pages can be searched for. If the desired page is not enabled, contact your CSM for assistance.



Onboarding Dashboard - Buttons and Fields

Button/Field

Description

Onboarding Resources

Opens a panel of resources including the following:

  • What to Expect During Onboarding:  Opens R365 Onboarding article with a timeline, key milestones, and tips for working with an Implementation Specialist.

  • Support Center: Opens the Support Center to start a chat with R365 Support or view and manage tickets.

  • Knowledge Base: Opens the R365 Knowledge Base with articles on navigating and completing tasks in R365.

Onboarding Progress Bar

Indicates the completion progress for the required steps of the onboarding dashboard.

Displays the completion ratio (steps completed vs total required).

Legal Entities Step

Opens the Legal Entities Step where legal entities, entity IDs, and addresses are entered for each legal entity.

Locations Step

Opens the Locations Step where location names, addresses, and location IDs are entered for each location.

Calendars Step

Opens the Calendars Step where the initial fiscal and operational calendars are created for each legal entity.

Start of Business Day

Opens the Start of Business Day step where users can keep the default Start of Business day of 12:00am or add an alternate start time.

POS Setup

Opens the POS Setup step where Point of Sale (POS) settings are entered for integration.

Users

Opens the Users page where additional users can be added to Restaurant365.

This step is optional.

Vendor Integrations Step

Opens the Vendor Integrations step where Vendor details are entered for integration.


Steps - Buttons and Fields

Button/Field

Description

Locked/Unlocked Icon

Indicates the status of the step; steps icons include:

  • Locked: The step is unavailable until the required preceding steps are completed.

  • Unlocked: The step is available for setup or editing.

  • Complete: The step has been completed and required records created. Once a step is complete, th records can be reviewed or updated from their associated pages.

Step Name

The name of the step.

Step Status

Displays the current status of the step when the step is unlocked.

Get Started/ Resume/ Review

The action available for the step which is dependent on the status of the step.

If the step status is:

Then the action available is:

Locked

No action available.

Unlocked - and has not been started

Get Started: Opens the blank step.

Unlocked - and is in progress

Resume: Opens the step with the previously entered information.

Complete

Review: Opens the associated page for the completed step.

For POS Setup and Vendor Integrations, Review opens the tracker that shows the status of submitted tickets.

Step Information

Provides information related to the selected step.

The displayed information changes based on the status of the step.


POS Integration Tracker

Each POS submitted in the POS Setup step of the Onboarding Dashboard is displayed in the POS Integrations Tracker.


Button/Field

Description

POS Name

The name of the Point of Sale (POS).

Submission date

The date the POS integration ticket was submitted to R365 support.

POS Ticket Status

The current status of the POS ticket. Possible statuses include:

  • Being processed: The ticket has been received and is being worked on.

  • Awaiting your reply: Additional information or action is required before work can continue.

  • Pending third party: Resolution depends on a response or action from an external provider, such as a POS vendor.

  • Tentatively resolved: A potential resolution has been applied and is pending confirmation or validation.

  • Closed: The ticket has been resolved and no further action is required.

  • Status unavailable: The ticket status cannot be determined or retrieved at this time.

Last Updated Date

The date the POS Integration ticket was last updated.

Open

Opens the POS integration ticket in the R365 support center, if the user has access.

Close

Closes the POS Integration tracker.



Vendor Integration Tracker

Each vendor submitted in the Vendor Integrations step of the Onboarding Dashboard is displayed in the Vendor Integrations Tracker.  


Button/Field

Description

Vendor Name

The name of the vendor the ticket was submitted for.

Submission date

The date the vendor integration ticket was submitted to R365 support.

POS Ticket Status

The current status of the vendor integration ticket. Possible statuses include:
