The 1099-INT Printable Form is produced to report any Interest Income received from a Vendor. The information on this form is organized so that it can be printed directly onto a 1099-INT Form and then sent to both your Vendors and the IRS for tax purposes. 


Important Note on Printing

When printing this form, ensure to update the following printer settings:

Adobe

When printing from Adobe, the 'Page Sizing & Handling' should be set to 'Actual Size.'

Chrome

When printing from Chrome, 'Scale' should be set to 'Default.'


Navigation

The My Reports search bar can be used to search R365's entire catalog of reports.

  1. Open the Reports app. 
  2. Navigate to My Reports
  3. Enter all or part of the report name in the search bar.
  4. The Results tab will open with the list of search results.
  5. From beneath the report name, click Run to run the report with the selected report view.
    -OR-
    Click Customize to adjust the report parameters and run the report. 



Report Parameters

Field/Column

Description

Year

The year the form is ran for. Default: last year.

Legal Entity

A listing of all legal entities that can be selected.

Vendor

A listing of all 1099 vendors associated with the chosen legal entity.

Common Payer

This will run the legal entity as a common payer as long as the legal entity is also marked as a common payer on its legal entity record.

Threshold Amount

The minimum payment threshold for vendors. The default amount is set to $10.

Report Columns

Field/Column

Description

Payer's Name and Address

The legal entity's name and address.

Payer's TIN

The legal entity's taxpayer identification number.

Recipient's TIN

The vendor's taxpayer identification number.

Recipient's Name

The vendor name.

Recipient's Street Address

The vendor's street address.

Recipient's City, State, Zip Code

The vendor's city, state, and zip code.

Box 1 Interest Income

Reports taxable interest income of $10 or more earned during the tax year, such as from bank deposits, loans, or interest-bearing accounts.

Box 2 Early Withdrawal Penalty

Reports the penalty amount charged for early withdrawal of funds from a time deposit (e.g., CD). This amount is deductible.

Box 3 Interest on U.S. Savings Bonds and Treasury Obligations

Reports interest earned from U.S. Treasury securities. This interest is subject to federal tax but may be exempt from state or local income taxes.

Box 4 Federal Income Tax Withheld

Reports any federal income tax withheld under backup withholding rules, typically when a recipient fails to provide a valid TIN.

Box 5 Investment Expenses

Reports the portion of a regulated investment company (RIC) distribution that represents investment expenses. This box is rarely used due to tax law changes.

Box 6 Foreign Tax Paid

Reports foreign tax withheld and paid on interest income, which may be eligible for the foreign tax credit.

Box 7 Foreign Country or U.S. Possession

Identifies the foreign country or U.S. possession where the foreign tax in Box 6 was paid.

Box 8 Tax-Exempt Interest

Reports interest that is exempt from federal income tax (e.g., from municipal bonds). May still be subject to state/local taxes or AMT.

Box 9 Specified Private Activity Bond Interest

Reports the portion of tax-exempt interest that is subject to the alternative minimum tax (AMT), such as from certain private activity bonds.

Box 10 Market Discount

Reports market discount on bonds acquired at a price lower than face value, which may be taxable upon sale or redemption.

Box 11 Bond Premium

Reports the bond premium on taxable bonds. This premium may reduce the interest income reportable.

Box 12 Bond Premium on Treasury Obligations

Reports the amortizable bond premium on U.S. Treasury obligations. This amount may be used to offset interest income.

Box 13 Bond Premium on Tax-Exempt Bond

Reports the premium paid on a tax-exempt bond. This premium reduces the tax-exempt interest reported in Box 8.

Box 14 Tax-Exempt and Tax Credit Bond CUSIP No.

Lists the unique CUSIP number for the tax-exempt or tax credit bond that generated the reported interest, aiding in bond identification.
