Knowledge Base Widget

The Knowledge Base widget provides in-context access to R365 Knowledge Base articles directly within the application. When opened, the widget displays a list of articles or a specific article related to the current page, without leaving the R365 interface.

The widget allows users to:

  • Quickly access articles directly related to what they are working on

  • Learn more about R365 features, workflows, and concepts without leaving the application

  • Search the Knowledge Base and get AI-powered answers to their questions

  • Move the widget around the screen to continue working while referencing Knowledge Base content


Navigation Steps

  1. Click the Help menu

  2. Select Knowledge base

Widget controls

  • Drag icon: repositions the widget anywhere on the screen. If dragged beyond the browser window boundary, the widget snaps back into view automatically. Clicking the Help menu while the widget is open minimizes it in place; clicking the help icon again restores it to the same position.

  • Close button: closes the widget. When the Help menu is next opened, the widget reopens docked to the right side of the screen.

Search

Accepts article keywords or natural-language questions. Returns matching articles or an AI-generated response.

Knowledge base header

Displays the knowledge base category or article related to the current page.

  • Back chevron: navigates to the parent level of the current category or article

Content action buttons

  • External link button: opens the current knowledge base content in a new browser tab.

  • Expand button: expands the widget to a full-screen view.

Knowledge base content

  • When viewing a category, displays article cards for articles related to the current page. Each card shows the article title and a truncated description.

  • When viewing an article, the widget directly displays the article content.
