This article address the changes made within the Payroll Tab of the employee’s record, specifically, the payment preferences and deductions section were updated in April 2025.

The ‘Payment Preferences’ settings page has been renamed to ‘Payment method.’

Direct Deposit
Direct deposit distribution order has been updated to include sequencing steps. Prior to this update, funds were distributed in reverse of the order they were listed. Now, funds will be distributed in the order they are sequenced. To reorder the sequencing, the user can remove and re-add the account in a different order.

Benefit and Deductions
The ‘Deductions’ section within the payroll tab has been renamed to ‘Benefit & deductions.’
In the legacy layout, deductions were separated on the grid by tax type and legal entity. With the new layout, the grid encompasses all deductions and the view is customizable.
Users can also ‘Filter’ the columns using grid filters.

They legacy deduction grid layout did not have the ability to customize columns. With the new update, users can customize the columns.
