AI Labor Insights — Customer Opt-In and Opt-Out

Prev Next

AI Labor Insights adds AI-generated insight cards to daily sales summary (DSS) records, highlighting overtime risks, labor trends, and scheduling gaps.

Enable or disable this feature from the Daily Sales page to control whether insight cards appear across the organization.

Navigation Steps

  1. Open the Sales & Forecasting application.

  2. Expand Daily Sales Summary.

  3. Select Daily Sales Summary (DSS).

Security

Users must have the Full Access User Role to opt an organization in or out of AI Labor Insights.

Before Enabling

Review the following before opting in:

  • Organization-wide setting — Enabling AI Labor Insights applies to the entire organization. All users with access to the DSS at any location see AI insight cards once the feature is active. This is not a per-user or per-location setting.

  • Data usage — When enabled, daily sales and labor data from the DSS is processed by AI models to generate insights. Only data from opted-in organizations is processed.

  • Early Adopter Program — Opting in enrolls the organization in the DSS - Labor AI Insights program under the terms of the Master Subscription Agreement. The full terms are presented in the opt-in confirmation modal.

Organization-Wide Impact

Only full access users can enable AI Labor Insights for the entire organization. Enabling affects all locations and all DSS users immediately. Coordinate with leadership before opting in.

Enabling AI Labor Insights

When AI Labor Insights has not been enabled, the Daily Sales page displays a Try AI Insights button with a description of the feature and a Join beta link. This button is visible only to full access users.

No labor data is processed by AI models until the organization explicitly opts in.

To enable AI Labor Insights:

  1. Click the Try AI Insights button.

  2. Click Join beta to begin the opt-in process.

  1. Review the program terms in the confirmation modal. The terms describe what data is used, how insights are generated, and the conditions of participation.

  2. Click Let's go! to confirm.

The AI Insights section loads on DSS records immediately, and the first set of insight cards generates within approximately 20–30 seconds. Subsequent access to the same day's insights takes less than 5 seconds.

What Changes After Opting In

Once AI Labor Insights is enabled:

  • Insight cards appear on the DSS — The Business Trends Identified by AI section displays insight cards for Overtime Risk, Daily Labor Trend, and Actual vs. Scheduled Labor Impact. See Daily Sales Summary Records Page for details on each insight card.

  • Side navigation update — The DSS entry in the side navigation displays a Beta label indicating that AI Insights are active.

  • All DSS users see insights — Any user with access to a DSS record at the opted-in organization sees the insight cards. There is no additional per-user setup.

  • Mobile availability — AI insight cards also appear on the mobile DSS experience.

Disabling AI Labor Insights

Previously Generated Insights Are Not Retained

Once disabled, all previously generated insight cards are removed and cannot be recovered. If the feature is re-enabled later, insights generate fresh from current data. Historical insights from before the opt-out are not restored.

To opt out and stop receiving AI insights:

  1. Click the AI Insights button on the Daily Sales page. This button is visible only to full access users.

  2. Click Leave beta.

  1. Review the confirmation modal. The modal confirms that AI processing will stop and insight cards will no longer appear.

  2. Click Leave to disable.

After disabling:

  • AI insight cards are removed from the DSS immediately for all users

  • No further labor data is sent for AI processing

  • The Beta label is removed from the side navigation

  • The opt-in awareness banner returns to the Daily Sales page, and the feature can be re-enabled at any time
