Prep Sheet Print Settings

The prep sheet print settings determine how the prep sheet is printed. Before printing, adjust the print settings so the printed prep sheet is sorted and grouped as needed. The following settings are customizable:

  • Orientation

  • Sorting

  • Grouping

  • Format

  • Columns

Once a prep sheet is printed, the physical copy can be used by employees to begin food prep.


Setting

Description

Orientation — Determines the page orientation of the printed prep sheet.

Portrait

Lays out the prep sheet in portrait orientation in which the paper is vertical.

Landscape

Lays out the prep sheet in landscape orientation, in which the paper is horizontal.

Sort By — The order in which the prep recipes are listed. Click the arrow to switch between ascending and descending order based on the selection.

Name

Sorts the prep recipes alphabetically by prep recipe name.

Prep Qty

Sorts the prep recipes by the prep quantity from lowest to highest or highest to lowest.

Group By — How the prep recipes are grouped together. The prep recipes maintain their sort order within their groupings.

Prep Station

Groups the recipes by assigned prep station.

Prep Category

Groups the recipes by assigned prep category.

No Grouping

Does not group the recipes. Prep recipes use the sort order and are not sectioned.

Print on Separate Pages

Sets whether each grouping prints on a separate page.

Format — Determines the formatting of the prep sheet.

Show 0 Qty Recipes

Show or hide prep recipes that have a prep quantity of 0.

Show Ingredients

Show or hide the ingredients list for each prep recipe.

Show Instructions

Show or hide the instructions for how to prepare the recipe. These are pulled from the prep recipe record. If this is toggled on, and the prep recipe does not have instructions, instructions will not appear.

Columns — Select which columns to show in the prep sheet printout.

On Hand

Shows the on hand count entered for the recipe.

Count U of M

Unit of measure (U of M) used to count this prep recipe.

Shelf Life

Shelf life of the prep recipe. This is the amount of time that the prep recipe remains usable or safe to serve after it has been prepared.

Prep Station

Prep station assigned to the prep recipe.

If this is the grouping method, the column cannot be disabled.

Prep Category

Prep category assigned to the prep recipe.

If this is the grouping method, the column cannot be disabled.

Qty Made

Adds a blank line where the quantity prepped can be handwritten.

Show Signature Line

Adds a blank line where a signature can be added to sign off on each prep recipe.
