Menu Item Updates 2026 - Coming Soon

Menu Items in R365 are receiving some key updates in 2026! These changes are to make way for future enhancements to menu items and menu item modifier management.

The following changes will roll out to menu items over the course of 2026:

• The menu item record has been redesigned.

• Menu items can now be archived/restored.

• Menu item links are being renamed to Point of sale items.

• Point of sale items can now be archived/restored.

• Point of sale items will no longer require a linked menu item.

Menu Item Record Redesign

The menu item record has an updated look. The record was modernized to reflect the new R365 update.

Archive/Restore Menu Items

Menu items can now be activated or deactivated in R365 by restoring and archiving the items. Previously, all menu items that flowed into R365 were automatically active and could not be turned off. The ability to archive menu items helps to clean up the menu item list and archive those that are not in use. They can be restored at any time.

Archived Items will show on a separate Archived Items list visible by opening the menu and selecting Archived Items.

Point of Sale Items

Menu Item Links Renamed to Point of Sale Items

Menu Item Links have been renamed to Point of Sale Items or POS items. This change was made to more accurately reflect the the item and to differentiate POS items from menu items. While the function of POS items remains the same, their navigation has changed.

Archive/Restore Point of Sale Items

Point of sale items can now be activated or deactivated in R365 by restoring and archiving the items. Previously, all POS items that flowed into R365 were automatically active and could not be turned off. The ability to archive items helps to clean up the POS item list and archive those that are not in use.

Archived Items will show on a separate Archived Items list visible by opening the menu and selecting Archived Items.
