Change an I-9 Start Date

In Beta
This feature is in beta. Contact your CSM to learn more.

The due dates of I-9s are based on the start date of the I-9 process, which should match the date the employee starts working for the associated legal entity. By default, the start date of an I-9 is set to the employee’s hire date. If the employee started work for the legal entity on a date other than their hire date, the start date for the I-9 process can be changed.

The start date for I-9s are changed on the Work Eligibility page.

The due date of an I-9 is automatically set as 3 days after the start date.

Security

Users must have the following permission to change an I-9’s start date:

  • Labor → Work Eligibility → I-9 Form → Edit I-9

These permissions can be added to custom user roles or individual users. The Permission Access report can be used to determine which user roles or users already have these permissions assigned. For more information, see User Setup and Security.
