# Payroll Locations Page

The Payroll Locations page displays all locations used for payroll processing. Locations in Workforce are used for various R365 Payroll purposes, such as determining tax forms for employees, calculating taxes for payroll payments, and providing workers' compensation job code options on Employee records.

Create, edit, and archive locations in R365 → Locations.

## Security

Workforce Locations are found in the permission tree as follows:

- Payroll
  - Labor
    - R365 Payroll Locations
      - View Locations
      - Edit Locations

## Navigation

1. Open the **Admin Application**.
2. Click the **Locations & Legal Entities** to expand the folder.
3. Click **Payroll Locations.**

## Locations List

The Locations list displays all payroll locations from R365.

| Control | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Search | Filter the list by location name or attributes. |
| Location List | Read-only list of payroll locations. Columns: Name, City/State, Terminals, People. |
| Refresh | Updates the display with the latest location data from R365. |

## Location Management

Direct location management on this page is disabled. All location management must be performed in R365 → Locations.

| Action | Status | Where to Go Instead |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Add Location](/doc/docs/add-a-new-location) | Hidden | R365 → Locations → New Location |
| Edit Location | Hidden — redirects to R365 Location form | R365 → Locations → select location → Edit |
| Delete Location | Disabled | R365 → Locations → select location → Archive |

## Redirect Messaging

When a user attempts to create or edit a payroll location from this page, the system displays a message and redirects to the R365 Location form.

> Location management is controlled in R365. Select **Go to R365 Locations** to create or update locations.

Changes made in R365 → Locations appear on the Payroll Locations page within 1–2 minutes.
