# Where to Find Payroll Tax Documents and 941s

Users with the correct permissions can access quarterly 941 filings, annual 940 reports, W-2s, and other payroll tax documents directly within R365 Payroll under the Documents menu.

## **Symptoms**

- A user cannot locate their 941 quarterly tax forms
- A user is searching for a prior-year 941 and does not know where to find it
- A user needs federal or state payroll tax filings and does not know where to look
- The **Documents** tab appears but nothing loads when clicked

## **Steps to Resolve**

### Navigate to Tax Documents

1. Open the **Payroll** app.
2. Click **Documents**.
3. Choose the correct company from the company selector in the upper right corner.
4. Click **Tax Documents**.
5. Each quarter has a **Company Packet (CP)** featured on this page containing the bulk of the filed forms. The number at the end of the file name represents the period end date (for example, *CP_260630 is the company packet for the quarter ending 06/30/2026, or Q2, 2026)*.
6. Click **Federal** to find additional federal forms like 941, 940, and W-2.
7. Click the year folder (for example, **2024** or **2025**).
8. Click the desired file (for example, a **941** or **940**) to view it or click the triple dot (...) button and **Download** to save the file to your device.

941 reports are filed quarterly (Q1 through Q4) and appear in the folder for the year they were filed. If a quarterly form is missing, it may not yet be filed for that period.
