# Version History Panel

The Version History panel lists saved versions for a record or settings configuration screen and the details associated with each revision. It appears throughout the system wherever versioning is available.

From this panel, users can:

- Open past, current, and future versions of the associated record or settings configuration screen.

## Security

The Version History panel does not have a dedicated permission. Access follows the permissions defined for the record or screen it belongs to. See the related record or screen documentation for permission requirements.

## Navigation

Click the **History button** to open the Version History panel for supported records or screens.

## Version History Buttons and Fields

|  | Button/Field | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **1** | X (close) button | Closes the Version History panel. |
| **2** | Future/Current/Past Sections | Group of versions based on their effective date (future, current, or past). > Only sections with versions are displayed. |
| **3** | Version card | Summary details for a single version: - Effective date - Date version was last saved - User who last saved the version |
| **4** | View button | Opens the selected version to display its details. > ‘Viewing’ is displayed when the version is already open. |
