Use this report to understand how tip allocations were calculated, see who contributed to each pool and how the pool was distributed to receivers, and validate totals for audits, troubleshooting, and employee pay questions. The report is organized into two sections — **Daily Rules** and **Weekly Rules** — each containing a **Contributors** table and a **Receivers** table. These tables reflect the actual tip automation data model: contributor math is calculated first at the contributor level, and the pooled total then determines receiver allocations. > [!NOTE] > The Tip Automation Distributions Report is read-only. Tip automation rules and allocations cannot be edited from within this report. To learn more about configuring tip automation rules, see [Tip Automation Rules](https://docs.restaurant365.com/docs/tip-automation-rules). --- ## Navigation The My Reports search bar can be used to search R365's entire catalog of reports. 1. Open the **Reports** app. 2. Navigate to **My Reports**. 3. Enter all or part of the report name in the **search bar**. 4. The **Results** tab will open with the list of search results. 5. The full week row is included if any day of that week falls within the selected date range. | | View Mode | - **Detail** — Displays one row per Date + Employee + Rule. - **Summary** — Displays one aggregated row per grouping unit. Date columns are omitted. | | Group By | Controls sub-total grouping: Employee, Location, Date, Labor Rule, or None. > [!NOTE] > Group By controls sub-total granularity. Use Filter By and Filter to narrow which records appear. | | Masked | - **No** — Employee names are used in the report. - **Yes** — Employee names are replaced with **job titles** for sharing purposes. > [!NOTE] > Masked does not hide any data from the payroll administrator — it only changes name labels in the output so the report can be shared with an individual employee without exposing other employees' compensation. | | Rule Type | - **All** (default) - **Daily** — Hides the Weekly section when selected. - **Weekly** — Hides the Daily section when selected | Learn more about [Report Views and their added functionality here.](/doc/docs/my-reports-using-my-reports#report-views) --- ## Report columns Contributors and receivers are independent datasets. The **Contributors** table shows what each employee contributed to the tip pool. The **Receivers** table shows what each employee received from the pool. There is no direct row-to-row mapping between a specific contributor and a specific receiver — this is how tip automation calculates allocations. > [!NOTE] > Columns that do not apply to a given rule display **—**. This value is treated as 0 in all calculations. ### Contributors table | Column | Description | | --- | --- | | Date Worked / Week Range | - **Daily rules:** Date of the tip automation event. - **Weekly rules:** The full week (start date – end date) for this record. A week is included if any day falls within the selected date range. | | Employee Name | Full name of the contributing employee. When Masked is enabled, displays job name instead. | | Location | Location associated with the contribution record. | | Labor Rule | Name of the labor rule applied to this row. | | Rule Basis | What the rule uses to determine contribution: Job or Service Type. | | Basis Value | The specific job name or service type value for this row. | | Net Sales | Net sales attributed to this contributor row. | | Cash Tips | Cash tips recorded at POS. | | Card Tips | Card tips recorded at POS. | | Total Tips | Sum of Cash Tips and Card Tips. | | Tip Out | Amount contributed to the pool from this row. | | Tips Owed | Net tips owed to this contributor after tip out. | | Hours Worked | Hours used in the contribution calculation. | ### Receivers table | Column | Description | | --- | --- | | Employee Name | Full name of the receiving employee. When Masked is enabled, displays job title. Duplicate job titles within the same grouping are numbered (for example, Server (1), Server (2)). | | Job Title | Job title of the receiving employee. | | Location | Location associated with the receiver record. | | Labor Rule | Name of the labor rule under which this receiver is included. | | Hours | Hours used in the allocation calculation. | | Amount Received | Total tip pool amount allocated to this receiver. | --- ## Export, Email, or Print the Report This report can be emailed, exported, or printed in custom formatting directly from the reporting window.
