# System Preferences: Location Additional Info

The **Location Additional Info** tab of [System Preferences](/v1/docs/system-preferences-overview) creates additional identifiers for locations. These identifiers appear as open text fields on the **Additional Info** tab of the [location record](/v1/docs/legal-entities-location-record).

The example below shows two new identifier fields: **Generic Vendor Location Number** and **Generic Vendor Distribution Centers**.
