It displays profitability metrics, health scores, and operational recommendations for a selected location and time period, giving managers and above-store users a consolidated view of restaurant financial and operational performance. Spotlight includes the following: the [Profitability Overview widget,](/doc/docs/profitability-overview-widget) [Profitability Score Details](/doc/docs/profitability-score-details), the [What's Driving Health Score section](/doc/docs/profitability-overview-widget#whats-driving-health-score), and the [Recommendations widget](/doc/docs/recommendations-widget). From certain cards on the profitability overview, the [Advisor AI can be used](/doc/docs/profitability-widget-ask-advisor) to learn the details of the metric and how to improve it. No setup is required to access Spotlight. It appears automatically in the Dashboards app for users with the correct permissions. --- ## Security Users must have the following permission to access the Spotlight page: - Administration → Dashboard → Home Dashboard → View Home Dashboard These permissions can be added to [custom user roles](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/custom-user-roles) or [individual users](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/users-overview-and-security). The [Permission Access report](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/generating-a-permissions-access-report) can be used to determine which user roles or users already have these permissions assigned. Use the **date range** dropdown to set the time period for displayed data. --- ## Home Page Sections ### Profitability Overview The Profitability Overview widget displays the profitability health score, net sales, prime cost, and check counts for the selected location and time period. Compare results to the prior period and toggle the inclusion of unapproved Daily Sales Summaries in check count and sales calculations. What should I do? Confirm that Spotlight is enabled for the organization by contacting the customer success manager. If Spotlight is already enabled, verify that your user role includes the **View Home Dashboard** permission. Contact an administrator to review your role assignment. See [R365 Default User Roles](/doc/docs/user-roles-r365-user-role-descriptions) for details. #### Why isn't the View Home Dashboard permission visible in my permissions settings? The View Home Dashboard permission only appears in the permissions UI after Spotlight has been enabled for the organization. If the permission isn't visible, contact the customer success manager to confirm Spotlight is enabled for the organization. #### Which user roles automatically get access to Spotlight? Access to Spotlight requires the View Home Dashboard permission. Several default R365 user roles include this permission automatically, including . - Accounting Admin - Full Access - R365 Global Admin - Restaurant Manager - Operations Admin - Above Store Manager Contact an administrator to confirm your role assignment. #### My organization is still on the Home Dashboard. How do I get Spotlight? To enable Spotlight for the organization, contact the customer success manager. Until Spotlight is enabled, the Home Dashboard remains available.
