# Set a Default Home Dashboard

The dashboard that opens when initially navigating to the Home application is set in the dashboard selector dropdown found on all dashboards.

The following dashboards can be set as a user’s default Home dashboard:

- [Financial Dashboard](/doc/docs/financial-dashboard)
- [Labor Dashboard](/doc/docs/labor-dashboard)
- [Operations Overview](/doc/docs/home-page) (formerly the Smart Ops Home page)
- [Operations Dashboard](/doc/docs/operations-dashboard)
- [Tasks Dashboard](/doc/docs/task-dashboard-1)
- [Dashboard (classic)](/doc/docs/rd-dashboards)

> Users can only set dashboards they have access to as their default.

The current default dashboard is indicated with a checkmark. If no default dashboard has been selected by the user, the system assigns a default dashboard based on enabled features.

## Security

Users can only set dashboards they have access to as their default. Dashboard permissions are defined by [user roles](/doc/docs/security-permissions-user-roles).

## Set a Personal Default Home Dashboard

Follow these steps to set a personal default Home dashboard:

*Click steps to expand for additional information and images.*

****1)** Navigate to the **Home** application.**

****2)** Click the **Dashboard selector**.**

****3)** Click the **Star button** for the desired dashboard.**

Access rights granted to users or user roles that dictate what actions they can perform within the system.
