Depending on the POS System, these types may or may not have been set up when your system was initially implemented. If the POS system allowed for this setup, this field will be present on Location records. Selecting a specific Sales Account Import Type in R365 can benefit sales analysis by narrowing in on the type of sale made at each of your organization's restaurant locations. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/5c9d1111-0c69-4e96-8910-d7f2750fdc9d/Images/Documentation/image-JNNE4LGR.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T00%3A03%3A39Z&se=2026-10-31T01%3A03%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=t1DKpGb45z4hEHNS9K9mNcJSCNvMUFKYOY%2FipOF1OIs%3D) Sales Account Import Types must be mapped to a GL account to view and assess customer preference and patterns through [Ad Hoc Reporting](/doc/docs/rd-ad-hoc-reports). Three different options are available in the Sales Account Import Type selector: - **Service Type** - This refers to **Dine In** or **Dine Out** options assigned to a sale (default) - **Revenue Center** - The areas within a restaurant where points of sale are made (i.e. bar, dining, patio, etc.) - **Revenue Center & Service Type** - This looks at both types of sale coming in from the POS --- ## Editing Sales Account Import Types The sales account import type for a location can be changed at any point from the default **service type** by navigating to the [**location record**](/doc/docs/legal-entities-location-record) and selecting the desired option. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/5c9d1111-0c69-4e96-8910-d7f2750fdc9d/Images/Documentation/image-BBQJC77U.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-31T00%3A03%3A39Z&se=2026-10-31T01%3A03%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=t1DKpGb45z4hEHNS9K9mNcJSCNvMUFKYOY%2FipOF1OIs%3D) A warning modal will appear asking for a confirmation of the change. When this change is confirmed, open the **Admin** application, expand the **System** folder, and navigate to the **To Do Checklist** to map GL Accounts to the POS.
