Read about [our latest releases.](/doc/docs/release-notes-new-releases) ## June 23, 2026 **Daily Sales Summary — Modified By column now displays inactive users** Previously, the **Modified By** column in the [Daily Sales Summary](/doc/docs/daily-sales-page) grid appeared blank or displayed "R365" when the record was last edited by a user who has since been deactivated. The Modified By column now correctly displays the name of the user who last edited a Daily Sales Summary record, even if that user is no longer active in the system. --- ## June 15, 2026 ****Require Location Selection for Document Upload**** A new system preference, **Require location selection on upload**, is now available for organizations using AP Capture AI. When enabled, users must select a location before a manual AP invoice or credit memo upload can be submitted. If a user clicks **Upload** without selecting a location, a "Location is required" error displays inline. Once a location is selected, the upload proceeds as normal. Users with access to only one location are not affected — their location is pre-filled automatically. This setting applies to manual uploads from **Documents to Process** and the **Create Menu**. Email and FTP uploads are not affected. For organizations newly activating AP Capture AI, this setting is enabled by default. For existing organizations, it is disabled by default and can be turned on in **Administration > System Preferences > Miscellaneous**. For more information, see [Require Location Selection on Upload](/doc/docs/require-location-selection-on-upload). ## June 11, 2026 ****Report Subscriptions: Large reports now deliver via download link**** Report subscriptions that generate files larger than 10 MB now deliver via a download link included in the email rather than as a file attachment. Reports under 10 MB continue to deliver as attachments. Previously, subscriptions with large report files either arrived without attachments or failed to send entirely. No configuration changes are required. All existing subscriptions run as scheduled with reliable delivery regardless of report file size. Learn more about [report subscriptions](/doc/docs/report-subscriptions). ****Enhanced Knowledge base site personalization with Favorites**** Logged-in readers can now mark articles, decision trees, API endpoints, and page categories as favorites using the heart icon, and access all saved items from a dedicated Favorites section in the left panel or via their profile.![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/5c9d1111-0c69-4e96-8910-d7f2750fdc9d/Images/Documentation/image-18GJTQP3.png) --- ## May 28, 2026 ****Locally Printed Checks Now Use Billing Address When Available**** When printing checks locally from a Bank Expense or AP Payment transaction, the From address on the check now reflects the Billing Address of the Location or Legal Entity record, based on your Print Checks From setting in System Preferences. If no Billing Address is defined on the record, the Shipping Address is used as a fallback. Previously, the Shipping Address was always used as the From address, even when a Billing Address was defined. To verify or update the addresses on your [Location](/doc/docs/legal-entities-location-record) or [Legal Entity records](/doc/docs/legal-entity-record), see [To and From Addresses in R365 Payments](/doc/docs/to-and-from-addresses-in-r365-payments). --- ## May 18, 2026 ****AI Labor Insights for Operators**** Restaurant operators can now access AI-powered labor insights directly in the [DSS](/doc/docs/daily-sales-summary), replacing static reports with dynamic trend analysis informed by Snowflake data. Labor Insights introduces an AI-driven analytics experience that surfaces patterns and trends over time across multiple dimensions — including labor vs. guests, scheduled vs. actual hours, and overtime vs. scheduling patterns. Key capabilities include: - **Trend analysis** across weekly, monthly, and yearly time horizons to surface longer-term labor patterns and seasonality. - **Turnover trend exploration** with correlation to overwork and scheduling imbalance, helping identify at-risk teams or locations earlier. - **Multi-location comparisons** to benchmark staffing performance across sites (additional comparison views planned). - **In-product feedback loops** and targeted in-app messaging so users can act on insights and share feedback without leaving the product. - **Planned support** for additional context such as weather data and cohort segmentation to better explain external drivers of labor performance. Breaks are out of beta and available to all Timecard users. - [**View breaks on the Timecard grid**](/doc/docs/timecard-page) — Break details appear as a column on the Timecard grid and on individual employee timecards. → [Timecard Page] - [**Add, edit, or delete breaks**](/doc/docs/manage-breaks-on-timecards) — Managers can make corrections directly in the timecard without leaving the page. → [Manage Breaks on Timecards] - [**Audit log tracking**](/doc/docs/view-timecards-activity) — All break changes are captured in the timecard audit log for accountability and record-keeping. → [Timecard Shift Record] --- ## April 23, 2026 ****Food Variance Report: Improved Usage Accuracy**** The Food Variance report now uses only the values from the selected beginning and ending inventory counts to calculate usage. If an item does not appear on either count, it will be treated as 0. This ensures that usage accurately reflects activity within the selected reporting period. ## April 16, 2026 ****Payroll Mapping Update**** Payroll GL account mapping has moved from the legacy **GL Account Mapping** page in Workforce to the [**Payroll Accounts** **tab**](/doc/docs/mapping-tool-page#payroll-accounts-tab) in the [**Mapping Tool**](/doc/docs/pos-mapping-tool), with existing mappings migrated where possible and mappings tied to disabled GL accounts surfaced as unmapped. The legacy mapping page will be deprecated at the end of April and will no longer be available. Starting in April 2026, "AI Dashboards" will replace "Intelligence" throughout R365, including in the left navigation menu (Reports → AI Dashboards). Along with the rename, the AI Dashboards screens have been refreshed to match R365's modern design. This update also introduces several new AI-powered capabilities: - **Auto Dashboard** — Use a conversational AI prompt to automatically generate visualizations and complete dashboards. You can also ask the bot to modify or refine existing visualizations. - **Auto Summary** — Enable Auto Summary on any dashboard to get an AI-generated narrative overview of the data on that page. Instead of scanning every chart and table individually, you'll see a concise summary of key performance indicators, trends, and notable changes in one panel. - **Auto Answers** — Available in view mode, Auto Answers lets you ask questions about the data on your dashboard and get real-time AI-generated responses and analysis. - **Parameters** — Use Parameters to apply dynamic filtering to dashboards. Create what-if scenarios, switch views, and define reusable filter logic with the new Dashboard Parameters section, Create Parameter button, and Parameter Selector option. Only one column may be sorted at a time. --- ## April 9, 2026 ****Classic Journal Entry Deprecation**** The [standard](/doc/docs/journal-entry-record) and [payroll journal entry](/doc/docs/payroll-journal-entry-record) have been refreshed with an modernized style and refreshed layout. The new journal entry is being enabled for all customers through April 2026 and the classic journal entry will no longer be available.
