# Payroll Account Mapping Details

From this screen, users can:

## Security

- Users must have the following permission to view the Payroll Accounts tab:
  - Administration → Mapping Tool → GL Mapping → View Payroll GL Mapping

- Users must have the following permission to edit the Payroll Account Mapping Details.
  - Administration → Mapping Tool → GL Mapping → Edit Payroll GL Mapping

> Users without access to all active payroll locations cannot edit, but can view payroll mapping.

## Navigation

1. Open the admin application.
2. Click **Integrations** to expand the folder.
3. Click the **Mapping Tool.**
4. Switch to the **Payroll Accounts** tab.
5. Click the desired **Payroll Account** row.

## Payroll Account Mapping Details - Buttons and Fields

The number of GL Accounts is determined by the user. When the mapping type is set to all, the GL Account details only requires one GL Account to be selected.

|  | Button/Field | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **1** | Payroll Account Name | The name of the earning, deduction, or tax code. |
| **2** | Type | The type of payroll code: **earning, deduction, or tax.** |
| **GL Account Details** |
| **3** | Mapping Type | Sets the mapping method for the payroll account: **Legal Entity or All.** |
| **4** | Default GL Account | The GL Account that will be used as a default for any unmapped legal entity. > When the mapping type **(#3)** is set to **all**, only one GL Account is required, and fields #5-12 are not displayed. |
| **GL Account 1** *(Only displayed when the mapping type is set to: legal entity)* |
| **5** | GL Account Expand/Collapse | Expands or collapses the GL Account section. |
| **6** | GL Account | The GL (general ledger) account used in payroll journal entries for the associated legal entity and payroll account. |
| **7** | Legal Entity | The legal entity(s) with the GL account mapping is applied to. |
| **8** | X | Removes the legal entity from the GL account mapping. |
| **GL Account 2** *(Only displayed when the mapping type is set to: legal entity and an additional GL account is added)* |
| **9** | Trashcan | Deletes the GL Account from the payroll account mapping. |
| **10** | GL Account | The GL (general ledger) account used in payroll journal entries for the associated legal entity and payroll account. |
| **11** | Legal Entity | The legal entity(s) with the GL account mapping is applied to. |
| **12** | Add a GL Account | Adds a GL account section. |
| **13** | Cancel | Closes the payroll account details without saving. |
| **14** | Save | Saves the payroll account details. |
