Contact your CSM to learn more. Labor Scheduling onboarding is a guided setup process for organization’s activating Scheduling. It walks a user through confirming its team and jobs, assigning employees to job roles, and building and publishing its first schedule. The process opens from a setup card on the Home dashboard and can be reopened at any point until setup is complete. Progress saves automatically after each step, and reopening the setup card returns to the last completed step. The process uses the same Employees, Jobs, and Schedule functionality documented in [R365 Scheduling Quick Start Guide](https://docs.restaurant365.com/docs/en/r365-scheduling-quick-start-guide) — this process is a guided path through initial setup, not a separate feature. --- ## Security The labor widget is available to **view** by users with the following permission: - Administration → Dashboards → Home Dashboard → View Home Dashboard **Additionally, the following permissions are associated with the **labor scheduling setup**, including permissions related to jobs, employees, and scheduling:** - **Labor** → - **Jobs** → - View jobs - Create jobs - Edit jobs - Job responsibilities - View job responsibilities - Edit job responsibilities - Create job responsibilities - **Employees** → - View employees - Edit employees - Create employees - Merge employees - Basic Info - Contact information - View contact information - Edit contact information - Identification information - View identification information - Edit identification information - Employment - Employment settings - View employment settings - Edit employment settings - Hourly job info - View hourly job info - Edit hourly job info - Hour pay rates - View hourly pay rates - Edit hourly pay rates - **Scheduling** → - **Schedule** - View schedule page - Add/edit/delete shifts - Publish/unpublish schedules --- ## Home Dashboard Setup Card > [!NOTE] > The setup card appears **only** for users with the appropriate permissions when an organization has enabled labor scheduling, configured at least one employee and one job, but has **not** **completed setup.** > > It does **not** appear for organizations that were already using Scheduling before this setup process existed.
