# Dashboard Prompts

In R365 AI Dashoards, when opening a dashboard into either edit mode or view mode, a prompt will appear. Prompts are questions that appear when a user runs a dashboard. These questions enable users to place a parameter on the data that is retrieved.

Making the correct selections on the prompt ensures that the correct data is retrieved and that the data is refined. Most dashboards run with the standard Start Date and End Date prompt. However, some may contain additional questions.

|  | Button/Field | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **1** | Index | Lists all the questions on the prompt. |
| **2** | Question | Individual question on a prompt. Questions with red asterisks are required to be set. |
| **3** | Save Selection as New Answer | When checked, this saves the selection made in Your Selection as an additional option for this prompt in the future. |
| **4** | Your Selection (Custom Selection) | Uses the custom selection. This selection is based on what is chosen or set by the user. Ex. For a date, this is the date chosen in the date selector. |
| **5** | Default Selection | Selects the default response, if any. |

| **7** | Run | Runs the dashboard with the selections made. |
