# Activity Log

Activity logs are accessed from their associated transactions or records and display a history of actions completed on the record including the date, time, and user that performed the action. The log also includes a comment field where users add notes and tag other users to [notify them](/doc/docs/notifications-overview).

All users are able to view the Activity log for transactions/records that they have access to.

| **1** | X | Closes Activity. |
| **2** | Quick Filters | Filters the activity by type: - **All**: Displays activity and comments. - **Activity**: Displays only activity. - **Comments**: Displays only comments. |
| **3** | Search | Searches the activity for the entered text. |
| **4** | Date | Displays the date of each entry. |
| **5** | User | Shows the user that performed the action. Actions completed by R365 appear as ‘System action’. |
| **6** | Action | Shows the action completed on the draft transaction. |
| **7** | Timestamp | Shows the time the action occurred. |
| **8** | Expand/Collapse | Expands or collapses additional details about the action. |
| **9** | Comment Field | Adds a comment to the Activity feed. Use @username to tag a specific user. The **Send button** becomes active when text is entered. |

### FAQ

#### What does it mean when the Activity log shows "System action" instead of a person's name?

#### What happens when I @mention someone in an Activity log comment?
