These rules control when minors can work, how long they can work, and how those limits change when school is in session versus during school breaks. Use Minor Rules to help maintain compliance with labor regulations for underage employees across one or more locations. From this page, users can: - Create a new minor labor rule - Define school year and school break date ranges - Set work limits by age group - Apply rules to one or more locations --- ## Security Users must have the following permission to access the Minor Rules record: - Labor → Labor Rules → Minor Rules → View Minor Rules These permissions can be added to [custom user roles](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/custom-user-roles) or [individual users](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/users-overview-and-security). The [Permission Access report](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/generating-a-permissions-access-report) can be used to determine which user roles or users already have these permissions assigned. Expand the **Workforce** category. 3. Contains additional work limit fields outlined below. | | **4** | During school breaks | Groups work limit fields that apply during school breaks. Contains additional work limit fields outlined below. | | **5** | Add age group | Adds another age group section to the rule. | #### Work limit fields | Button/Field | Description | | --- | --- | | Hours per day | Sets the maximum number of hours a minor can work per day. | | Hours per week | Sets the maximum number of hours a minor can work per week. | | Days per week | Sets the maximum number of days a minor can work per week. | | No work after | Sets the latest time a minor is allowed to work. | | No work before | Sets the earliest time a minor is allowed to work. | A restaurant or business site under a legal entity where operational and financial activity is tracked in R365.
