# Legal Entities Page

The Legal Entities page lists all legal entities created in R365 and is accessed from the Admin application.

From this page, users can:

- View [Legal Entities](/doc/docs/legal-entity-record)
- [Open or close a fiscal period](/doc/docs/closing-a-period)
- Create a Legal Entity

## Security

**The following permissions are associated with legal entitles :**

- Administration
  - Legal Entities
    - View Legal Entities
    - Edit Legal Entities
    - Create Legal Entities
    - Delete Legal Entities

These permissions can be added to [custom user roles](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/custom-user-roles) or [individual users](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/users-overview-and-security). The [Permission Access report](https://restaurant365.us.document360.io/doc/docs/generating-a-permissions-access-report) can be used to determine which user roles or users already have these permissions assigned. 1. Open the **Admin** application from the left navigation rail.
2. Expand the **Location & Legal Entities** category.
3. Select **Legal Entities.**

****Search****

Navigate to pages with the [R365 global search bar](/doc/docs/r365-search):

1. Enter all or part of the **page name** in the R365 global search bar.
2. Select the page from the results list.

> Only enabled pages can be searched for. If the desired page is not enabled, contact your CSM for assistance.

## Legal Entities Page

### Columns

| Column | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Name | Legal Entity name displayed in report selections and fiscal years. |
| Number | Identifying number assigned to the legal enmity. |
| Verified Shipping Address | Shipping address of the legal entity. |
| Address | The billing address for the legal entity. This can be toggled off to use the shipping address as the billing address, or toggled on to list a separate billing address. |
| Apt, Ste, etc. | Optional field for address details such as: - Apartment - Suite - Etc. |
| City | The city listed in the address of the legal entity. |
| State | The state listed in the address of the legal entity. |
| Postal Code | The postal/zip code listed in the address of the legal entity. |
| Country | The country listed in the address of the legal entity. |
| Closed Date | The last date through which accounting is finalized for a legal entity. Transactions on or before this date can’t be created or changed unless the period is reopened. |
| Due from Account | The account used to track the amounts a legal entity is owed by another legal entity within the organization for [intercompany transactions](/doc/docs/intercompany-transactions). |
| Due to Account | The account used to track the amounts owed to another legal entity within the organization for [intercompany transactions.](/doc/docs/intercompany-transactions) |
| Created On | Date when the legal entity was created. |
| Created By | Name of the person who created the legal entity in the system. |
| Modified On | Date when the legal entity was most recently updated. |
| Modified By | Name of the person who last updated the legal entity. |
