# Users

> Partially updates multiple users in a single request. Returns 207 Multi-Status when some updates succeed and others fail.

**Security**

The requesting user must have one of the following permissions to update users in batch:

- Administration → Users → Edit Users
- Administration → Users → Edit Users in Bulk

_Permission-change latency:_ changes to permissions take several minutes to propagate. A user may continue to operate under the previous permission set for a short period after a change.
